The end of August sees the annual Shoreham Airshow at perhaps the most picturesque of all UK airshow venues. It is perhaps also one of the best run and organised shows too being a favourite amongst public and pilots alike. This year saw the show grow slightly with an extra hour of flying display to accomadate all the acts that want to take part.

The show is entirely geared to giving the family the best day out possible with arena displays, extensive trade stalls, a fun fair and some excellent entertainment in and around the original 1920's Terminal Building. The flying display itself was agaion truly first class in 2003 with some old favourites joined by some new and rare participants from the UK and European circuit. This years main theme unsurprisinly was the centenary of powered flight. To begin the display, Christain Moullec made a welcome return to UK skies with his amazing demonstration of flying with geese in his microlight. He was quickly followed by Guy Westgate in perhaps the very best Glider demonstration seen at UK shows in the Fox Glider which itself is a unique aircraft. Also catching the eye was a pretty demonstration of a Piper Archer and a Royal Navy Fast roping demonstration from a Royal Navy Lynx HAS3. Two old favourite made very special performances for the Shoreham show. Denny Dobson performed an incredible Limbo under four ribbons on top of his normal excellent unlimited aerobatics routine while Vic Norman brought a fourship routine by the Utterly Butterly Barnstormers.

It is a tribute to all of the Shoreham team that this show is fast becoming a show not to be missed by families and enthisiasts alike for the unique setting and the very, very high quality of the event presented.
