Counting Them In....

Thanks to the wonders of digital technology, Flightline UK brings you (or should that be intends !!! - it's only the first day!!)) daily illustrated highlights from the UK's biggest airshow of 2003. We will issue an edition for Wednesday, Thursday, and maybe Friday if we can secure access  to our servers!

I think Thursday is going to be a bit busy!!! While the rate of arrivals was a dramatic increase, it's safe to say that most aircraft will be arriving tomorrow. Rather worryingly, the Hungarians and the US F-117As failed to turn up today as scheuled, but there's still time!

The Weather today in complete constrast to yesterday was very humid and really rather damp with on and off light showers and one big thundery shower as the German MiG-29GT arrived.

Still there was plenty of great aircraft to be seen. Personal highlights included the U-2S, Piaggio P.166, John Bradshaw's Hawker Sea Fury FB11, IAF Lockheed TF-104G Starfighter and another new tiger schemed Luftwaffe Tornado IDS. Other notable arrivals included a pair of US Navy P-3C Orions, Italian Tornadoes, Belgian F-16s and a German F-4F Phantom II.
